Why a request was refused

Cerelith has safeguards that run before and after the brain. When they block something, you get a short refusal instead of an answer, and in the API a response with the error refused.

If many of your recent messages are refused, chat pauses for a day. The usage policy explains what the brain will not do.

If you think a refusal was a mistake, open a support request under A refused request and include the request id. A person will look at it.
