Use projects to keep files and instructions together

A project gives every chat inside it the same files and standing instructions.

A project is a folder for related chats. Anything you put in it is shared by every chat you start there:

  • Instructions are read before each answer, for example "answer in French" or "keep it short".
  • Files are available to every chat in the project. They stay until you remove them or delete the project.

Open Projects, make one, then start a chat from inside it. Chats in a project are still deleted ninety days after their last message, but the project and its files are not.

On a team plan you can share a project with your team. Everyone in the team can then start chats in it, and only the person who made it or a team admin can change it.
